At 78 years of age, President Donald Trump has been proclaimed to be in “excellent health” and “fully fit to perform the responsibilities of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State,” as stated by his doctor, Dr. Sean Barbabella. This announcement comes following his recent annual check-up at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

During this comprehensive physical examination, which relied on the expertise of fourteen specialists, President Trump underwent extensive laboratory screenings and diagnostic tests. His vital statistics, such as a resting heart rate of 62 beats per minute and blood pressure measured at 128/74 mmHg, were well within healthy limits. He stands tall at six feet three inches and weighs 224 pounds.
Mental Acuity Checks Reveal No Cognitive Impairments
An integral part of Trump’s evaluation included the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), a brief 10-minute test designed to identify any signs of mild cognitive impairment. Trump achieved a flawless score of 30 out of 30, proving there are no indications of cognitive decline. This replicates his previous top score achieved during the first term of his presidency in 2018.

The health report did mention a scar on Trump’s right ear, resulting from a gunshot wound endured in an assassination attempt back in July 2024. Aside from this, no further health issues were mentioned. Currently, his medication regimen includes aspirin, mometasone cream for a skin condition, along with cholesterol-reducing drugs rosuvastatin and ezetimibe. Additionally, all routine vaccinations and those required for travel are up to date.
Overseeing the examination, Dr. Barbabella, known for his extensive experience in battle trauma care from tours in Afghanistan and Iraq, conducted a thorough five-hour evaluation. This assessment represents the first detailed health update since Trump reinstated his role in office this past January.

After his health assessment, President Trump expressed faith in his well-being, declaring, “Overall, I felt I was in very good shape. A good heart, a good soul, a very good soul.” He took pride in his cognitive evaluation, stating that he answered all the questions correctly.
Details of the health report were shared during Trump’s stay at Mar-a-Lago, where he enjoyed time relaxing at his golf club.
