Donald Trump’s first words after Joe Biden is diagnosed with ‘aggressive’ cancer

Joe Biden Diagnosed with Aggressive Prostate Cancer; Trump Responds

Former President Joe Biden, 82, has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. A statement released on May 18 confirmed the diagnosis, noting a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) and that the cancer appears hormone-sensitive, offering hope for effective treatment.

This serious diagnosis comes after Biden ended his 2024 re-election campaign three months before Election Day, passing the leadership to Vice President Kamala Harris amid growing health concerns.

Donald Trump, Biden’s political rival, responded with a rare show of support. Posting on Truth Social, he wrote:
“Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”

Vice President Harris also shared her support, calling Biden a “fighter” and expressing hope for a full recovery.

Biden has faced cancer before, including skin cancer treatment and surgery for a tumor in 2023. His fight against cancer has been a personal mission, especially after the loss of his son Beau to brain cancer in 2015.
