Donald Trump responded with a scathing six-word remark after new pictures of him with Jeffrey Epstein resurfaced.
The images, taken in the 1990s, show Epstein attending Trump’s wedding in 1993 and participating in a 1999 Victoria’s Secret fashion show alongside Trump and his then-fiancée, Melania.
These newly released photographs have rekindled public scrutiny of the two men’s past relationship.
When confronted by CNN, Trump dismissed the images, responding with, “You’ve got to be kidding me,” before labeling the network as “fake news” and abruptly ending the call.
This brief exchange only lasted about 30 seconds.
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung later defended Trump, claiming that the photos were merely “out-of-context frame grabs” from widely attended events.
Cheung emphasized that Trump had previously expelled Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago club for inappropriate behavior, suggesting that the renewed media attention was politically motivated.
These revelations come amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Epstein.
The Department of Justice recently concluded its review of Epstein-related documents, asserting there was no need for further investigation or prosecution.
However, many, including some within Trump’s political base, continue to demand more transparency.
The resurfacing of these photos and Trump’s dismissive response show that interest in his past ties to Epstein remains high, despite the years that have passed. 📰🤔
