‘Baywatch’ Star Michael Newman Dies ‘Surrounded by his Family’: Details

The beloved actor and firefighter, best known for his role in “Baywatch,” has died at the age of 68.

Michael Newman passed away on October 20, 2024, due to heart complications. He had been battling Parkinson’s disease since 2006. His close friend, Matt Felker, confirmed that Newman was surrounded by family and friends during his final moments.

Felker also recalled a poignant moment during their last meeting when the actor, in his typical humorous style, said, “You’re just in time”. Born in Los Angeles County, Newman starred in “Baywatch” and its spin-offs. He leaves behind his wife, Sarah, and their two children.
