Three Young American Women Found Dead in Hotel Room at Beach Resort – Details

Details on the deaths of three young women found at a beach resort have emerged. A news reporter has also posted about the matter.

Authorities in Belize are investigating the mysterious deaths of three American women who were found unresponsive in their hotel room at a luxury beachfront resort over the weekend. The victims—23-year-old Koutar Naqqad, 24-year-old Imane Mallah, and 26-year-old Wafae El-Arar—were found dead Saturday morning at the Royal Kahal Beach Resort in San Pedro.

Officials revealed that the women, originally from Morocco and residing in Revere, Massachusetts, had gone to the resort Thursday evening. Surveillance footage confirmed that they were not seen leaving their room after arriving.

Law enforcement is exploring several possible causes of death, including carbon monoxide poisoning and possible overdoses.

Authorities found alcohol and gummies in the room, with the Belize police commissioner noting past incidents where contaminated gummies had led to hospitalizations. An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday to determine the exact cause of death.

The hotel informed the police that there was no answer when housekeeping tried to knock on the door on Friday, so they left. Investigators estimate the victims may have been deceased for approximately 20 hours before being discovered.

According to a report from the NY Post, the hotel staff made multiple attempts to reach the three women on Friday. Despite repeated efforts, there was no response from inside. When the women still had not been heard from by Saturday, staff decided to enter the room, where they discovered all three unresponsive.

Bob Ward, a reporter for Boston 25 News, shared heartfelt images of the three young women, who were lifelong friends. He also revealed how he spoke to a family member of one of the victims. More details on the story will follow shortly.
