Former President Donald Trump thanked Iran for warning ahead of its missile strike on a US base in Qatar. He urged both Iran and Israel to choose peace and praised efforts by Qatar’s Emir.

Donald Trump Thanks Iran, Urges Peace in the Region

Former U.S. President Donald Trump publicly thanked Iran on Monday for giving early warning before launching a missile strike on a U.S. air base in Qatar. He said the early notice helped save lives and prevent injuries.

In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump wrote, “NO Americans were harmed, and hardly any damage was done.” He added, “Most importantly, they’ve gotten it all out of their ‘system,’ and there will, hopefully, be no further HATE.”

Trump continued by saying, “I want to thank Iran for giving us early notice, which made it possible for no lives to be lost.”

Trump Calls for Peace from All Sides

Trump also encouraged peace in the Middle East. He said he wants Iran to “proceed to Peace and Harmony in the Region,” and added that he would support and “enthusiastically encourage Israel to do the same.”

In another message, Trump thanked the Emir of Qatar for his role in promoting peace. “Thank you to the Emir of Qatar for all that he has done in seeking Peace for the Region,” Trump wrote.

In a final post, Trump declared: “CONGRATULATIONS WORLD, IT’S TIME FOR PEACE!”

US Embassy in Qatar Lifts Alert

Earlier on Monday, before Iran’s missile strike, the U.S. Embassy in Qatar had issued a shelter-in-place warning for American citizens. That alert has now been lifted, and the situation is considered safe.
